2012 Holiday Street Banner Contest
Hundreds of families attended receptions honoring the 2012 Holiday Street Banner Contest winners and participants. The Honeywell Center hosts this annual exhibit featuring original artwork by students in Wabash and Miami counties. Some artwork is chosen to become festival holiday banners used to decorate downtown Wabash, Peru, and North Manchester light poles. PIctured are winners from the Miami County Reception. |

Musician Michael Kelsey Visits Area Schools Honeywell Center Educational Outreach presented interactive classroom residencies featuring musician Michael Kelsey. Michael visited nine schools and used engaging tunes and audience participation to help students understand the power and emotion of music. Young Wabash County artists were treated to an art reception in celebration of the Elementary Art Exhibit. Students and parents enjoyed a short presentation in the Ford Theater followed by refreshments in the lobby.

A Gingerbread Christmas – a free holiday festival for kids!
Our annual kids holiday festival had a gingerbread theme this year. Young guests enjoyed making gingerbread crafts and trail mix, listened to Christmas stories and had their pictures taken with Santa. |

Battle of the Bands The Honeywell Center theater interns produced the first-ever Battle of the Bands in early May. The interns produced and promoted the event entirely on their own, including organizing the event, lighting design, running sound boards, and marketing. Four bands competed with Small Town taking home the title. |

Aaron Barker concert once again a hit! Aaron Barker, Chris Wallin, Brooke Burrows, and Ira Dean performed an outstanding concert Friday night. The 4 songwriters sang their top hits and told the stories behind the writing of each one. After the show, they all hung around and met each and every fan. This concert has become an annual favorite for country fans! |
