THEATER TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

The Honeywell Center seeks a Technical Director to plan and oversee all technical aspects for approximately 75 productions annually in the Ford Theater and a variety of smaller productions presented in other spaces.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· 

 Advance lighting, sound, staging, backline, labor, transportation, and catering needs for touring shows.

· 

 Recruit, train, and supervise staff including four crew heads and more than 50 stagehands.

· 

 Create budgets for individual shows, theater operations, and capital improvements. 

· 

 Coordinate maintenance of theatrical systems.

· 

 Direct technical theater internship program for high school students.

· 

 Serve as a liaison with local and regional presenting organizations.

Full job description

The Honeywell Center is a regional performing arts and conference facility featuring a 1500 seat proscenium theater.

Two years of directly related experience required. Bachelor’s degree in technical theater strongly preferred.
