Senior Outreach to present Big Band Concert and DanceThe Honeywell Center will be host to the Bob Brown Combo for an afternoon of Swing and Big Band music on Wed., May 9 at 2 p.m. Part of the Honeywell Center’s Senior Outreach Program, this event is sponsored by Outreach partners Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Centre, Wynnfield Crossing Senior Community, Dukes Memorial Hospital Senior Circle, Suite Living Senior Living Center and Premier Home Health Care. Hosted in the Honeywell Center’s newly refurbished Legacy Hall, seniors are invited to dance to 30s, 40s, and 50s big band and swing music provided by the Bob Brown Combo, a five piece band featuring regional musicians Tom Gustin (trombone and vocals), Bob Urbani (saxophone and clarinet), Max Tillman (trumpet), Bob Brown (keyboard and vocals), and vocalist Ellen Mock. Seating and concessions will available for dancers and those wishing to just sit back and reminisce with friends and the music. Tickets for this event are $5 and may be purchased at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling (260) 563-1102 or visiting www.honeywellcenter.org. The Honeywell Center Senior Outreach Program works to provide area senior citizens a resource for entertainment and education through art, music, and physical activities.
