The Augustana Symphonic Band is a part
of one of the oldest collegiate band programs
in the nation. Founded in 1874, it is the
oldest
musical organization on the Rock Island, IL
campus. The band has played at many high
profile venues across the nations and world
including Orchestra Hall in Chicago, the
Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and
Town Hall in New York City. This is a 70-
student symphonic band directed by Dr.
James Lambrecht.
