Gwen Gutwein grew up on a
farm in Northwest Indiana and
understands the beauty, heritage,
and nostalgia contained in the
historical structures. When she
began to notice the disappearance
of barns from her landscape, she
made the decision to capture them
forever on canvas. She has
completed paintings of barns in
thirty-six counties of Indiana and
hopes to paint two barns in each
of the ninety-two counties. The
exhibit will showcase 50 of Gwen’s
oil paintings. It will be on tour as
part of the Extension and Outreach
Program at the Fort Wayne Museum
of Art. Merchandise will be for
sale including calendars, prints,
and note cards.
