Wabash Library welcomed Biscuit
the Dog to the Center
Biscuit the Dog
sprang from the pages of well-loved books
and into the Honeywell Center! The Wabash
Carnegie
Library brought Biscuit in to visit with boys
and girls.
The kids were also treated to a puppet show and
other
interactive activities.

Seussical the Musical!
3000 students
from all over Northern Indiana gathered
at the Honeywell Center to see a live
performance of
Sueussical. The kids LOVED it!

Artist Bruce Langton visits area schools
Bruce Langton,
one of today's premier contemporary
artists and children's book illustrators,
presented an
interactive residency at area schools.
Students were
instructed on sketch drawings and even created
their own!

Regional art classes participate in residency
Published
author/designer Candie Cooper visited several
schools during a multi-week classroom art
residency.
Young artists created felt collages while
learning about
the ancient process of wet felting and wool.
Cooper visited schools in Huntington, Miami,
Wabash, Blackford, and Wells counties.

Banner reception honors student art winners
Hundreds of
students and parents gathered in the Honeywell
Center lobby for a reception to honor the
entrants in the 2009 Banner Contest. Young
artists submitted original artwork, with several
being chosen to have their art hang on the light
poles around the Center and in downtown North
Manchester. Other winners were chosen to
have their art transformed into holiday
e-cards available
for anyone to send.

Steve Seskin visits regional schools
Songwriter
Steve
Seskin
presented
an
anti-bullying
program
to
thousands
of
regional
elementary
students.
Seskin
also
worked
with
several
classrooms
to write
original
songs
that fit
in to
the
program,
aptly
titled
Operation
Respect.
Seskin's
visit
culminated
in a
concert
at the
Honeywell
Center,
during
which
Seskin
invited
students
in the
audience
to join
him
onstage
for a
few
songs.

Aaron Barker concert once again a hit!
Aaron Barker, Chris Wallin, Brooke Burrows, and
Ira
Dean performed an outstanding concert Friday
night.
The 4 songwriters sang their top hits and told
the
stories behind the writing of each one.
After the show,
they all hung around and met each and every fan.
This
concert has become an annual favorite for
country fans!

local high schools
Ira Dean, Brooke Burrows, and Aaron Barker
presented
songwriting residencies to local high school
choral students. The trio shared stories
about the music business and played some of
their most popular hits.

The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere
14 schools from as far away as Bremen brought
900
students to Wabash to see a play relaying the
story
of Paul Revere's famous ride.
